Unsere Klinik für Mund-Kiefer-Gesichtschirurgie wird von Professor Dr. med. Dr. med. dent. Hendrik Terheyden ärztlich geleitet. Er ist Facharzt für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie mit der Zusatzbezeichnung Plastische Operationen sowie Fachzahnarzt für Oralchirurgie. Professor Terheyden engagiert sich als Mitglied in elf internationalen und nationalen Fachgesellschaften, unter anderem ist er Präsident der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Implantologie e.V. (DGI) und Vorstandsmitglied der ITI Sektion Deutschland (International Team for Implantology).
Der Preisträger des Martin-Waßmund Preises der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie e.V. (DGMKG) schreibt als Redaktionsmitglied regelmäßig für die Fachzeitschriften "Implantologie" und "International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery". Insgesamt verfasste er über 300 wissenschaftliche Publikationen.
